Premium cable network HBO has inked a deal with media company Axios for a limited docuseries of news-oriented specials that will bow on the network this fall. This limited docuseries on HBO will feature a combination of breaking news content, exclusive interviews and short profiles to "Help audiences better understand the big trends reshaping America and the world." "The world needs new, smarter ways to better understand the dominant personalities and definitive trends changing politics, business, technology and our lives," said Axios CEO VandeHei in a statement. The European Documentary Network is seeking a new director to head its Copenhagen, Denmark headquarters. The new director will begin in the post from early 2019 onwards, with an announcement of the new director to come this November. EDN serves as Europe's largest documentary association and seeks to provide documentary consulting and information regarding opportunities for funding, financing, development, co-production, distribution and collaboration across borders.
